Mike Lewis Sc/Rambler ! ! !

We were fortunate to have Mikes car to view . It was "the" most "factory correct"
unrestored Sc/R at The Chilson Car show ....

We fully appreciate all Scrambler's . But for info on factory stock . This is a very good example ...

Here is feedback from Mike :

Bob, I know what it takes to restore a SC/RAMBLER. I think we met a few of the guys that want to set a new standard. I hope that all of them had a chance to meet Jim Mckee and talk nuts, bolts, and ratios.

I can show you what it looked like from the factory but Jim is way beyond any information I can provide. I know Jim made an extra effort to be at Gordy's show and I think I speak for all of us with a big THANK YOU !

I also know what it takes to provide a quality (and FREE!!!) show like this. I've had the privilege to watch it all fall into place like magic. This year was the best and I say that every year. Every detail thought out in advace, from where to park every Nash, total number of meat balls, and when to bring out the fiberglass Javelin !! One guy did all of this. THANKS GORDY !!!

SEE YOU ALL NEXT YEAR !
MIKE LEWIS

Note : Hey , everyone . The fibreglass Javelin Mike is referring too .
Is the coo de gras to top off the show . We need a photo of this !!Anyone??!!??

Gordy's new toy . This is an early "Funny Car" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There was an attempt to start it but , it had a freak problem with the blower .
Hope to hear it next year ....I love the smell of Altered Alchohol and smoking "ripple walls" in the morning !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This car was freshly restored and we were the first group to view it !!
Thanks again Gordy for the fun you brought by planning and pulling off another
"Super Show"
Bob

Front wheel close up , This detail shows the factory lay the wheel downt to paint the blue . This caused this pooling of the paint .

Hood Pin : Note it has no chamfer on the clip hole . The end of the hold down
cable has a ball shaped swaged with a special crimper . Mike states he knows how to duplicate this area .
